Allo big boobies

posted on 17 June 11

Next month I will be staging another photography exhibition in Northumberland at Kielder Castle alongside local artist Shirley Jennings. Currently I am dividing my time between printing pictures, posters and cards for the exhibition as well as learning lines for a new play we are doing with Shontal (www.shontal.co.uk) and rehearsing Allo Allo with the Bellingham group for performance at the end of this month. I am also printing copies of the 'Fallen Madonna with the big boobies' on canvas to be used as prizes for the audience. So it is a particularly busy time in the borders.

Over the last few months I have been touring around the Northeast, Wales and Yorkshire with Shontal and as usual we have been greeted warmly by the groups for whom we perform. We took a week off and braved the Paris Disney experience which the children enjoyed but left us all exhausted. After our time in the land of the giant rat we took a few days in Paris itself as this coincided with my wife's birthday and she loves the city. We were amazed how hot and crowded it was with a strong military presence everywhere. We were even hurried away from the Eifel tower by soldiers who then carried out a controlled explosion. On the day we were due to fly back we discovered the reason for the unusual crowds as it was the day of the Paris Marathon! The photograph alongside this entry shows my daughter cooling off in the fountains at the Louvre.

As I mentioned last time the video I shot for Landermason is now up for viewing and can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JZ47LD1a2Q.

Otherwise life ticks on in the wilds of Northumberland and with the countryside bursting with life I am provided with ample photographic opportunities and plenty of work to be done in the garden. I'd best be off now to attend to the grass.

About Gary

I have been taking photographs for a number of years and have provided images for individuals and families as well as for business use. I have worked in promotional photography in the theatre and taken portraits and headshots for actors. As well as covering festivals and competitions I am happy to accompany dog owners on walks in Northumberland to get a picture of their pet in a natural setting and have been known to follow a cat around a garden to catch it in the right light.

In addition to taking photographs I spend some of my time acting. In the past I have managed bands and community arts projects and taught classes in IT, Arts Management and acting.  I have worked with men in prison covering subjects such as relationship management and drug awareness. I learned a great deal from all of these experiences and discovered that teaching is as much about listening as it is passing on information. The photography courses I run are for beginners who want to get started with digital cameras and programs and if you would like to have a chat then please give me a ring.

I hope you like the pictures I have featured on the site. Please feel free to drop me a line through the get in touch link above it's always nice to hear from people.
