As well as providing photographic services to our clients in Northumberland and the North East we also provide courses for amateur photographers keen to learn the ins and outs of digital photography and digital manipulation.

Our courses are typically for 6-8 people taking approximately 5-6 hours as part of the course we take a leisurly walk in the Northumberland hills to capture your own images that will then be taken further with digital manipulation.

On Location

On arriving we will get our walking gear on and head out to find interesting pictures in Northumberland. Whilst on location we will discuss the effects of light, angle, time of day and many other variations that make up the perfect photo.

Camera to Computer

Once we have captured some useful pictures we head back to our base. We will take you through some of the basics of handling digital images and transferring images safely from your camera to your computer. Here are some of the topics we usually cover:

  • Camera software & installation
  • Creating photos folder on hard drive
  • Connecting camera to the computer via USB & card reader etc
  • Renaming images
  • Moving / copying / downloading images
  • Backing up using various removable media

We are more than happy to cater the course for your group so if you would like to cover an area in more detail or add a new topic we will be able to cover your needs.

Digital Manipulation & Software

Using photo editing software we will take you through some of the basics of digital manipulation. We will show you how images can be improved and altered to produce an improved scene or even a unique piece of artwork.

We will show you how you can repair old photos, remove unwanted objects from existing photos, convert images to black and white and much much more.

If you are interested please get in touch. You can phone me on 01434 220659 or leave either your number or an email address though the 'get in touch' page and I will get back to you so we can have a chat and work out what you need.
